Quick Guide: How to Use Stickers in PowerDirector

Four steps to size a sticker and get its animation to behave.

Steps

1Size and style the sticker

Double-click the sticker on the timeline, then adjust it in the three sections on the left of its panel: Position / Size / Flip, Opacity / Fade / Blend, and Border / Shadow.

These are the same controls a clip gets. On busy footage, a border is the quickest way to make a sticker stand out.

2Set how long the sticker stays

Drag the sticker's edges on the timeline.

By default the animation loops for that whole length, so making the sticker longer doesn't slow the animation down.

3Choose what happens at the end

Click Advanced at the bottom right of the sticker panel. In the timeline of Advanced Overlay Editing, right-click the sticker and open After Image Sequence Ends.

Choose Freeze on Last Frame to play the animation once and then hold its final frame.

4Fit the animation to the duration

Set the length on the timeline first, then in Advanced, right-click the sticker and choose Change Speed to Fit Current Duration.

Order matters, since the command re-times to whatever duration it finds.
