- Open PowerDirector and click Lyrics to Song in the launcher.
- Describe your song idea, or skip to typing your own lyrics.

- Tag each part with Intro, Verse, Chorus, Bridge, or Outro.
- Click Auto or pick a music style.
- Pick a singer and a length, then click Generate Song.
- Click + to add the song to your library, then drag it to the timeline.
Steps to Make a Song with Lyrics to Song
Step 1: Open Lyrics to Song
Open PowerDirector and click Lyrics to Song, the first card in the launcher.

In the editing window, open the GenAI menu and choose Lyrics to Song under Audio.

Step 2: Describe Your Song
Already have lyrics? Type or paste them into Enter Lyrics in the middle column, then skip to Step 4.
Otherwise, start on the left. Give the song a name in Name Your Song, which becomes its file name. Then describe the theme or story in Generate Lyrics. For ideas, click Inspiration and pick one of the ready-made themes.

This example uses Night road trip and the name Night Drive.

Step 3: Generate the Lyrics
Choose one of 11 languages from the Language list, such as English, Spanish, Japanese, or Korean. Then click Generate Lyrics.

The lyrics appear in Enter Lyrics, already split into tagged parts such as [Verse] and [Chorus]. Edit any line you want to change. Click Generate Lyrics again for a new version.

Step 4: Tag the Song Sections
Tags tell the AI where each part of the song belongs. Put the cursor where a part starts and click a button under Insert common song sections to structure your lyrics. This example adds an [Intro] at the top.

| Tag | What it marks |
|---|---|
| Intro | A gentle or instrumental opening |
| Verse | Where the story or main content happens |
| Chorus | The catchy, repeatable highlight |
| Bridge | A twist or change in mood |
| Outro | A smooth ending |
Each tag needs at least one line under it. If a section is empty, Generate Song stops and asks you to add lyrics or remove the tag.

Step 5: Choose a Music Style
Click Auto under Enter Music Style to let AI suggest a style from your lyrics. Here it suggested Atmospheric, Indie, Melancholy.

To set the style yourself, click words on the Genre, Mood, and Instruments tabs, or type your own. This example adds Ambient synth pads from Instruments.

Step 6: Set the Singer and Length, Then Generate
Choose Female or Male under Select Preferred Singer Gender. Under Select Expected Song Length, keep Auto to fit the length to your lyrics, or choose Custom and enter 30 to 180 seconds. A custom length may shorten or skip parts that don't fit. Then click Generate Song, which shows the credits it uses.

The song is made in the background. In this example, a 2:59 song took about a minute.

Step 7: Add the Song to Your Timeline
The finished song appears at the bottom of the window. Play it to check the flow. Click + to add it to your media library. The folder icon opens the file's location, and the trash icon removes the song.

Close the window. The song is now in the Audio room at the top left of the editor. Drag it from there to an audio track on the timeline.

We tested these steps in PowerDirector 365 version 25.0.10 on Windows.
