In a hurry? Use the playlists quick guide instead.
A PowerDVD playlist plays a set of clips back to back in the order you choose. Build one for a family movie night or a party mix, and it's ready every time you open PowerDVD.
- Click Playlists, open the Videos tab, and click Create Playlist.
- Type a name and click OK.
- In the Videos library, check the clips you want.
- Right-click a checked clip and select Add to Playlist > your playlist.
- Open the playlist and drag the clips into order.
- Double-click the first clip to play the playlist.
Steps to Create a Playlist
Step 1: Open Playlists
Under Media Library on the left, click Playlists. Click the Videos tab, then click Create Playlist. Music and photo playlists work the same way on the Music and Photos tabs.

Step 2: Name the Playlist
Type a name in the Name box and click OK. The new, empty playlist appears on the Videos tab.

Step 3: Select the Videos
Click Videos under Media Library and open the folder with your clips. Hover over each clip you want and check the box at its top left corner.
Clips need to be in the library first. See how to set up the Media Library.

Step 4: Add Them to the Playlist
Right-click one of the checked clips and select Add to Playlist, then the name of your playlist. Or select + New playlist here to create one without going back to Step 1.

Step 5: Put the Clips in Order
Click Playlists and double-click your playlist to open it. Drag a clip up or down to change where it plays.
To sort the whole list at once, open the Custom Order drop-down at the top right and select Title, Length, or Date Added.

Step 6: Play the Playlist
Double-click the first clip's thumbnail, and the playlist plays through to the end. To mix up the order, click the shuffle button on the playback controls.
The repeat button next to it switches between Repeat off, Repeat current, and Repeat all. Press Ctrl+R to do the same from the keyboard.

We tested these steps in PowerDVD 365 version 24.0.1923 on Windows.
