Quick Guide: How to Use Text to Video in PowerDirector

Four steps from a written brief to a few seconds of footage.

Steps

1Write the brief

Write a paragraph of what happens, then add one line for each of these: Style, Lighting, Camera movement, Atmosphere, and Motion details.

Splitting the brief up makes it easier to edit. To change only the light, you rewrite one line and keep the rest.

2Set length, shape and sound

Duration runs 4 to 30 seconds. Pick the Aspect Ratio for where you will post the clip, and uncheck Generate sound with AI if you're scoring the clip yourself.

3Generate

Click Generate once the brief and settings are ready.

4Review the clip in My Creations

Open My Creations to watch the clip, and check it against the brief line by line. To change one part, edit its labeled line. Click Download to put the clip in your media library.
